One of my hyper-productive winter vegetable gardens.
Last year, I harvested more food from my winter garden than my summer garden. It was magical!
I made crunchy salads with Napa cabbage and prepared hearty stews with Asian greens such as mizuna, tatsoi, and pac choi.
Relative to other parts of the country, our winters are mild, and we can grow a surprising amount of food during the coolest months of the year.
Join me this Thursday at 11:00 AM for The Winter Vegetable Garden
Learn how to tend a vegetable garden through the entire winter season. Feed yourself and your family all winter long with healthful, hardy vegetables like Napa cabbage, lettuce, spinach, arugula, kale, and hardy Asian greens.
You’ll learn how to protect your garden from freezing temperatures, how to adjust care strategies, and which winter vegetables grow best in our climate and soil.
Enroll today. Attend Thursday’s class (or watch it later), and then receive ongoing guidance through the winter season. Enrolled students can get help from me (or ask questions to their fellow students) whenever they need it. The winter season is also the perfect time to catch up on classes you may have missed this year. They’re available inside our on-demand class library that covers more than 40 regionally-specific gardening topics of interest.
